Australia: Do Together
You could do Western Australia, which means you begin your journey at Perth (Western Australia's capital and the second most remote city in the world after Honolulu). There's Camac and Rottnest Island where you get to see sea lions and quokkas (like kangaroos, only smaller) and dolphins. Travel to the Ravenswood Sanctuary which houses 50 of Australia's 55 parrot species or take a canoe ride down the Margaret River. Check out the Margaret River Chocolate Company or go wine-tasting at the Brookland Valley Vineyard. And don't miss the Pinnacles. Or you could do North Tropical Queensland and Victoria. Caims and Port Douglas are the cities to visit in North Tropical Queensland; Melbourne is in Victoria. While in the former; check out the Rainforest Habitat, The Daintree Rainforest, and drive or bike down Captain Cook Highway from Cairns to Port Douglas. Or go on a four-wheel drive, off-road excursion into the outback. The St Mary's By the Sea church, by the sea, of course, is a sight to behold. A must-see is the Orpheus Island, in the Pacific Ocean. Move on to Melbourne where there's lots to do and see. Browse around the Victorian Arts and Crafts Centre, walk along St Kilda's Pier; or ride a horse-drawn Victoria through the streets of Melbourne. Check out the Yarra Dairy in The Dandenongs, a couple of hours' drive from Melbourne. Also visit the Seville Estate, Ainsworth Estate, Morgan Vineyards and go for a hot-air balloon ride in the Yarra Valley.
